KL airport

I'm sitting in the same lounge that I spent 13 hours in 4 years ago with Katie, at the same computer I used 4 years ago...very weird. After an enormously long flight to KL with a stopover in Penang for a few hours, I am finally able to sit down and write a blog entry for the first part of the trip, whilst eating some food that apparently resembles Carbonara, .... I beg to differ. I should have gone for Malaysian food and left the Italian to the Italians.

I'm feeling very good right now :) Jamie is off with his dad and family now in Melaka, I'm still sitting in the airport calmly wating for my flight to Perth. You really couldn't ask for a better airport to wait in, it is beautiful! (plus it helps when you check yourself into a lounge that costs $18 and you get all the free food, internet, dvd viewing and putput golfing you can handle :)) I like to travel in style. And it is true, for me atleast, the moment you set foot in an airport, even if it is LHR, you feel like you're on holiday and money becomes like water, it's been flowing out of my pocket since the moment I left :)

Cannot wait to get to Perth and see all my family! How great will that be, not long now , just another 9 hour flight and I'm there. I like to think of myself as a hardcore flyer, I can cane the longhaul flights man! blap! Truth be told, the only real reason I can deal with it is because I'm small enough to comfortably curl up in a ball on the chair and fall asleep. ;)

Left on Saturday not getting to my destination til Monday, that is a mission. But so worth it. See you down under!

G'Going away!

Well, it has been well over a month since I have written anything here! Disgracelful! And somehow I am finding time an hour before I am going to the airport to write a little something. Jamie and I are flying to Kuala Lumpur today! He'll stay there for 3 weeks and I'm am immediately (well 7 hours later) getting a connecting flight to Perth! I am more than excited, but also a little nervous, still wondering what i am going to do when I get there....must have forgotten how to relax...or never knew:). I'll paint pictures of things I like and play guitar (if they let me on the plane with it!) and I seem to have already made some friends with promoters and musicians that want to help me to help Jamie to get gigs in Oz.

Well, I'll be using my blog to write about my travels and if I can finally figure out how to put photos on this damn thing, then I'll do that too. Goodbye England! Richie, thankyou for the Antony and The Johnson's CD, it my album of the month, it'll be my Aussie soundtrack. Next post will probably be from KL airport when I'm going out of my mind waiting for my flight! So til then, be sane and light on your feet.

AuRevoir,
